Project Based Learning Basic Training
This three day training is designed for Project Based Learning (PBL) Teachers and Charter School Planning Teams. It offers hands on training to develop knowledge and skills to begin planning, or to start teaching in a project based learning charter school. Traditional schools are welcome too. Professional learning communities will be offered for both high school and elementary models.
Lead presenters will provide the training. Experienced associate trainers will guide the advisory circles and project teams. Participants will complete a project as they learn the process. Project teams include: The FITT Principle, Elk Tracking, Proms for Business, Smokey Bear, Price County Airport Expansion, The Great Depression & WWII. The first 50 registrations will also receive a $400 stipend if you complete all 3 days of training. We will notify you via email if you qualified for the free registration & stipend after you register online. REGISTRATIONS MUST CONTAIN 1ST AND 2ND CHOICES IN ORDER TO QUALIFY.
$75 for all other registrations (registration is limited to 80 participants)

The Rural Community School Alliance (RCSA), a consortium of 4 rural charter schools, is offering this training through a Charter School Dissemination Grant provided by the Department of Public Instruction.
